Mr. Fredric was in day before yesterday, he was talking of our folks and theirs making up a box to send to Co C of good things, I do think they ought to & hope they will.
  Sunday afternoon 15th  I had written so far & it was about 11 O'clock when we saw the lamps of the stage coming up the hill, we had been expecting Mrs. Reicheneker all day but had given her up; the road are quite bad, & consequently they were longer coming up, it has been very warm for the last few days & the ground is thawing out very fast, indeed it is not frozen very much; yesterday & today are two of the most lovely days I ever saw, it is so
